STOCK: The term stock refers to stock manufacturers specific part for the motor you are using as it applies to the car it is in. Stock means factory ID numbers must be in place.

1. Engine Specifications; Absolutely no crossbreeding of parts within a manufacturer. Parts must be to original specs or original spec replacement.

A. Crankshaft: Must be correct stock manufacturers crankshaft for engine used. No interchanging of crankshafts. Rotating assembly can be balanced but no excessive removing of material from crankshaft or rods. At officials discretion.

B. Rods: Must retain connecting rods of same weight as originally manufactured for engine used. They can be replacement rods but must be the same weight as the original rods that came in your motor. Rods can be polished. Must be the same length as the original connecting rod produced from factory for that motor.

C. Pistons: Forged or cast and be flat top pistons. Must be same configuration and weight as original equipment. Fly cutting permitted. New - 3/7/08 - Piston can protrude out of block by 0 deck height + .005. Maximum overbore .060's.

D. Cylinder Head: Stock head only. No grinding, porting or polishing.

E. Camshaft and Valves: Will allow non-factory camshaft provided they do not exceed the following specifications by more than 10/Thousands. New - 3/7/08 - Any solid lifter cams allowed as described in 11. A & B. No roller cams or assemblies will be permitted. Stock appearing rocker arm assembly must be retained.

1. Stock appearing rocker arm assembly must be retained.

2. Solid lifter permitted on all motors.

F. Valve specifications:

1. GM 2300: Intake - 1.622 / Exhaust - 1.380

2. GM 2500: Intake - 1.720 / Exhaust - 1.500

3. Ford 2300: Intake - 1.740 / Exhaust - 1.500

New - 3/7/08 - G. Carburetor Specifications: Stock carburetor for motor used or you can use a Holly 4412 carburetor with a 1" adapter maximum.

1. Choke can be removed. No air cleaners through the hood.

2. Any jet size permitted as long as carburetor is not altered.

3. No grinding, polishing or removing of material is permitted.

4. Carburetor dimensions as follows; .005's variance permitted.

a. Ford/GM (Holly-Weber) 5200 Series -

Top venturi - Primary: 1.031 - Secondary - 1.061

Bottom venturi - Primary - 1.263 - Secondary - 1.419

b. GM/ Rochester 2GV:

Top venturi - 1.185 / Bottom venturi - 1.687

5. Carburetor and intake must be correct for engine. Intake manifold base of intake cannot be redrilled.

6. No 2000cc Ford engines permitted.

7. Adjustable timing mechanism permitted.

8. Aluminum engine fan pulleys permitted.

9. Aftermarket exhaust header permitted.

2. Transmission, Flywheel and Clutch assembly:

A. Transmission: Stock OEM 3,4 or 5 speed transmissions only.

1. No automatics

2. No aftermarket transmissions.

B. Flywheel and Clutch assembly:

1. If using the stock OEM Flywheel, they must weigh the following: Ford minimum of 18 pounds. GM minimum of 20 pounds.

a.) Aluminum flywheels ARE permitted - CANNOT be lightened or altered in any way.

2. Must have clutch disc, pressure plate and throw out bearing and must weigh the same as stock OEM manufacturers weight.

3. Rear End: Must have stock manufacturers rear end. No 9 inch Ford rear ends.

4. Suspension:

A. All suspension components must appear stock for car used. Camber plates allowed.

B. Front:

1. Shocks must mount in stock mount in stock location.

2. Original shock angle must be retained.

3. One shock per wheel. Must be stock appearing.

4. Sway bar permitted on front.

C. Rear:

1. Rear jacking bolts are permitted - REAR ONLY

2. Original configuration of rear suspension must be retained. If vehicle came with trailing arms, then vehicle must have trailing arms.

3. One shock per wheel. No shocks that can be adjusted while driving. No coil over shocks.

4. No rear sway bars permitted. No additional rear suspension parts permitted. No panhard bars permitted.

5. Leaf spring cars: Original springs can be added with a spring rated at a different weight. Original mounts must be retained, but can be reinforced. Springs and mounts must be in original location.

6. Original trailing arms must be retained. May be altered or reinforced but must be retained.

7. No adjustable heim joints.

8. Must have 4 wheel brakes.

9. Rear end cannot be offset in car.

5. Wheels and Tires:

A. Wheels: Maximum 7 inch wide wheel permitted. Must be steel wheel. All four wheels must have same offset. 14 inch wheels permitted.

B. Tires: Any DOT tire permitted as long as it does not exceed 7 inches wide. No Hoosiers, No cross grooving. Tires must have standard tread pattern.

6. Fuel Tank: Fuel cell highly recommended. Maximum 10 gallon fuel tank. Must be mounted in center between frame rails.

7. Aluminum radiators ARE permitted.

8. General Safety Requirements:

A. Full Nascar type roll cage required.

B. Seat must have headrest. Seat must be one piece.

C. Snell 95 helmet required.

D. Fire proof drivers suit required, gloves and neck collar required.

E. Must have 3 inch lap belts and 2 inch shoulder harness.

F. Blowproof scatter shield required. Made of 1/4 inch plate steel. Must cover area of bellhousing. Shield will bolt to floor area of tunnel.

G. Driver window net required.

9. No Cosworth Vegas, No multi-carburetors, no turbo chargers and no fuel injection.

10. Eligible cars:

A. GM - Vega, Monza, Astre, Sunbird and Chevette.

B. Ford - Pinto, Mustang II, Mustang and Bobcat.

C. Chrysler - Colt, Challenger, Sapparo and Arrow.

D. No front wheel drives.

11. Weight Minimums: Must weigh these weights after race with driver and no fuel to be added.

A. 2600 pounds with driver and with .415 lift and over - Measured at valve

B. 2200pounds with driver and .410 lift and under - Measured at valve

12. Windshield can be removed but must retain stock roofline, lexan or plexiglass permitted.

13. Spoiler 4 inches maximum from rear deck. No supports.

14. Air Dams: Front air dam limited to 8 inches from bottom of bumper. Must have 4 inches clearance from dam to ground. No side curtains.

15. Must have hood and rear deck pins. Battery location optional.

16. Frames:

A. All stock frame sections must be retained. Stock floor pan must be retained from rear fender well to firewall in front of car. Round tubing or box tubing can be used to link up stock front frame section and go to rear of car. All stock rear shock mounts must be retained. Do not butcher floor pan. All holes must be filled with metal or sealant.

B. Tubular frame rails can not be added to front of car.

C. Must have stock wheelbase.

D. Reinforcing behind bumpers ok.

17. Bodies: - Aftermarket bodies allowed but must be stock appearing. If you have any questions on the body please contact Eastside Speedway.

A. Fenders and quarter panels may be home made but must have same dimesions as stock. No flat sides, must look original.

B. Stock roof and roof line must be retained.

New - 3/7/08 - Can have hoood scoop.

C. Stock front fenders must be retained.

D. Stock appearing rubber nose piece can be used. Similar to late model. Must be formed and shaped. No cowcatchers. Must have 4 inches ground clearance.
