All changes in bold and red
1. Car Types; 1989 & newer American made ONLY. Ford, GM and Mopar. No turbo's or super charged. 4 cylinder cars only. Front wheel drive only. Single overhead cams only, NO dual overhead cams allowed. All drivers must have service manual for the vehicle model and type being competed in showing engine, transmission, wheel and tire specifications. This manual must be in the possession of the driver at each race and must be made available to inspectors at their request. NO aftermarket fuel injectors. Cylinder heads can be shaved a minimal amount for cleanup - excessive shaving will result in disqualification. NO carburetor cars allowed !!
2. Modifications allowed;
A. Remove air conditioner condenser and ac pump.
B. Remove inertia switch (fuel shut off on Ford).
C. Remove rear seat.
D. Electric cooling fan may be wired to run constantly.
E. Ballast lead fastened.
F. Racing seat. Stock seat may be retained.
3. Mandatory modifications;
A. 6 point rollcage: Must have main loop. 1 door bar off each side of main loop. 2 support bars off of top of main loop to rear floor pan. 6 point cage must be plated, then welded and bolted to floor pan. Full Nascar roll cage recommended but not mandatory. No bars can be welded to frame rails. No bars in front of the firewall or in truck area. Interior steel door skin linings must be retained unless a full NASCAR style rollcage is installed. If a full cage is used, with door bars, inner door skins can be removed. B. Must have racing seatbelt and shoulder harness.
C. Fuel cell recommended. If aftermarket fuel cell is used it can be mounted in the truck area. Is a stock gas tank is retained, it must have additional strapping around it.
D. Window net on drivers side door.
E. 2 hood pins on front of hood.
F. Fire extinguisher within drivers reach.
4. Things that will be checked;
A. Stock wheels , stock suspension in stock location.
B. 4 wheel working stock brakes, stock steering column must start with key.
C. Hood and trunk lids must have hinges.
D. Stock transmission.
E. No locked differential.
F. Stock front seat.
G. Stock dash board with no alterations.
H. Stock door panels with no upholstery. No metal removed.
I. No body modifications. Stock ride height. No removing of metal such as hoods, trunks and doors. All body metal must remain in place.
J. Any size tire permitted as long as all 4 tires are the same, in either 13" - 14" - 15". No high performance, low profile, speed rated or soft compound tires. No recaps.
K. All engine components must be stock for engine. No crossbreeding of parts.
L. Battery in stock location.
M. Must have stock muffler - Cannot be altered or modified in any way, although it may be re-routed as long as all original parts are retained. NO Glasspacks, Cherry Bombs, etc. If we can hear it, It's to loud.
N. No ABS traction control style braking systems. Must be disconnected.
5. What needs to be removed;
A. Back seat. Opening covered with sheet metal, no holes.
B. Other upholstery.
C. All lights and chrome.
D. Stock windshield must be retained. All side windows and rear glass removed.
6. Driver must have a fireproof suit and a Snell 95 approved helmet.
(a) Vehicle must be equipped with a 2.5lb fire extinguisher.
(b) Driver must wear firesuit, helmet, gloves and neck collar.
7. Minimum weight: All cars must weigh 2400 pounds. Dodge Neon 2650 pounds.
a. All added weight must be painted white and securely mounted in place with your car number on weight.
b. Any added weight must have more than one bolt with washers.
c. Weight may be added to any driver winning three races in 50 lb increments based on performance.
8. Engine must remain to factory specifications, with the exception of a .030's overbore permitted. Pistons must be exact same configuration and weight as stock. K&N performance air filters permitted.
9. Wheels and tires;
a. Wheels must be stock size for that make & model car used either 13" - 14" - 15". No lightweight wheels or aftermarket wheels.
b. Tire sizes permitted; Maximum 205/60 Maximum. All four tires must be same size.
